"It's just a car", that's were she's right and wrong. It is just a car when we consider the physical aspects of the car. It doesn't think, have feelings or goals...it's just a car. Honestly, I would never have done most of the things I did to my car without TT.net. And tt.net is a group of people that I like to associate with. Owning a Z and coming to this forum makes me feel like i'm apart of something. And maybe the most important thing of all...I have fun doing this. In that aspect, what you do with your car isn't "just a car". It's much more. And she blindly overlooked that. Don't let that bother you though. She's a woman and they think differently than we do. I would let her know how you feel about her comment and see what she says back. If she's a good friend like you indicated, she'll understand and make ammends. I would take note of this situation for future reference. Non-car enthusiasts don't care about what we do with our cars. And like everyone else is implying, i would keep that part of my life separate from my fnon-car friends. The Z thing is a serious hobby that I enjoy. I do it for the satisfaction and enjoyment it gives me.
